The Run to Remember was started to remember some of our wonderful members we have lost. We welcome you to challenge yourself in the memory of someone you have lost. We dedicate a portion of the race to posters of lost loved ones. Email us at janel@errun.org for details if you are interested in honoring someone.
The race takes place in beautiful Piney Run Park, located at 30 Martz Rd. Sykesville, MD 21784.
The course is a 5.25-mile loop of woods and meadows to be run 6 times for the 50K, 3 times for the 25K, 1 time for the 5-miler, and as many times as you want or can for the 8-hour Challenge.
The lake is visible on 50% of the course. There will be two water stops on the course, and at the transition of each loop is a well-stocked aid station with a variety of food and drinks.
This is a rain-or-shine event. All fees are nonrefundable. There is NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION. There is an optional apparel purchase at registration.
The 50K, 25K, and the 8-hour Challenge start at 7:45 AM. Runners must start the last lap by 2:45 PM.
Race fee includes: entrance to the park, custom-made Ice Bandana, and a unique Run to Remember ceramic mug. Medal awards to the top 3 Male and Female runners of each race.
Remember, for the 8-hour Challenge, you will be timed for the number of loops you finish, so there is no DNF. However, if you are running the 50K, 25K, or 5-mile, you will be a DNF if you are unable to finish your race.
5.25-mile race starts at 9:30 AM.
Race fee includes: entrance to the park, custom-made Ice Bandana, and a unique Run to Remember ceramic mug. Medal awards to the top 3 Male and Female runners.
Membership promo codes are emailed to ERR members.
Packet pick-up is April 16, 4-7 PM at Otzi Mediterranean Restaurant, 20A Liberty Rd, Eldersburg, MD 21784, 443-398-8922. Delicious food is available for purchase to eat in or take out.
Proceeds from the race go to the club to support our runners, Youth Program, and the ERR Brian Lawton Athletic Academic High School Scholarship. A portion of the proceeds goes to the American Association for Cancer Research.
